Home Minister Amit Shah launched the Fast Track Immigration – Trusted Traveller Programme (FTI-TTP) to provide convenience and faster travel experience for passengers.
The immigration process will now be completed in just 30 seconds.
This initiative is specifically for pre-verified Indian citizens and OCI cardholders.
In July 2024, the facility was first launched at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport.
Later, it was extended to Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Cochin, and Ahmedabad airports.
By September 2025, the facility was launched at five more airports – Lucknow, Thiruvananthapuram, Tiruchirappalli, Kozhikode, and Amritsar.
In the future, the facility will also be extended to upcoming airports like Navi Mumbai and Jewar.
The immigration process will now be completed in just 30 seconds.
The process is based entirely on biometric verification and digital document authentication.
Passengers will now be free from long queues and manual checks.
The programme is in line with PM Narendra Modi’s vision of “Speed, Scale, and Scope.”
Passengers will get a faster and smoother travel experience.
The programme also showcases India’s modern identity and technological progress.
Till now, nearly 3 lakh passengers have registered on the portal, out of which 2.65 lakh have availed the facility.
In the future, there is a plan to integrate registration at the time of passport or OCI card issuance.
