Legendary South Korean actor Lee Soon Jae has passed away at the age of 91, bringing to an end his remarkable career spanning more than seven decades.
He remained one of the most respected and multi-generationally influential artists in Korea’s film, television and theatre.
His contribution is considered an important part of South Korea’s modern cultural heritage.
He began his career with the stage production “Beyond the Horizon.”
Lee Soon Jae worked in the following major films — Unstoppable High Kick!, Good Morning President, Late Blossom, Grandpas Over Flowers, Dear My Friends, The Scholar Who Walks the Night, A Thousand Kisses, etc.
He remained active until his later years and was scheduled to perform in “Waiting for Godot” in 2024, but had to withdraw due to health reasons.
