- The Global Energy Leaders’ Summit 2025 (GELS 2025) will be held in the city of Puri, Odisha from 5 to 7 December 2025.

- The objective of this summit is to promote sufficiency, balance, and innovation in the energy sector.
- This summit is a high-level meeting in India’s “Energy-COP” style, aimed at comprehensive deliberations on the country’s long-term national energy strategy.
- Energy ministers from various states and the central government, top bureaucrats, policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, and international experts will participate in the conference.
- The summit will discuss green hydrogen, small modular nuclear reactors (SMR), energy storage technologies, power trading, digital grid security, artificial intelligence–based energy management, and emerging technologies.
- This platform will promote the sharing of successful energy reforms among states and encourage mutual learning, thereby strengthening both cooperative and competitive federalism.
- The purpose of the event is not limited to discussions alone, but also includes providing concrete policy recommendations, institutional strengthening, and preparing a clear roadmap for India’s energy transition strategy.
- The summit is expected to guide India’s energy security, sustainable development goals, clean energy expansion, and the advancement of modern energy infrastructure.
